I have just become aware of one of the most exciting events celebrating the beauty, fashion and self-esteem of large size women that I have ever heard of. It is called Curves atSea and it is taking place this summer from August 31 – September 5, 2013. The creators of Curves Fashion Week are taking the fun and glamour off shore for a week of networking and fashion adventure. When I perused the tentative itinerary below, I immediately checked my budget for a vacation savings strategy and checked my wardrobe for a fashion strategy---LOL. I plan to attend!

Beauty is an attitude...not a SIZE!

A few years ago I took a poll of friends, family and any body else who would listen. I asked them how they would describe a LARGE SIZE woman.  They said over and over again..."I know what you're talking about ...you're talking about a woman with hips!" Or they would move their hands through the air in a coke bottled shape...and then say..."oh yeah...she has hips too!" Those conversations and two words have remained in the back of my mind.  So when encouraged to share my viewpoint on fashion, plus sizes and size inclusiveness in the industry---all I could think about was HIPPS TOO! I added the extra P just because I like the way it looks.

Shout out to all the plus size fashionistas in the world who love fabulous clothes and love themselves OR...are learning to! You are BEAUTIFUL!
